Iwrestledabearonce return with their second album, Ruining It For Everybody. Throughout the 11 tracks, the album covers a wide range of musical styles: opener "Next Visible Delicious" sounds, at times, like Cannibal Corpse, while at others like something produced by Timbaland or Crystal Castles. Meanwhile, "This Head Music Makes My Eyes Rain" is a spacey, ambient track that forgoes any of the screams the band are known for. Nearly every song on Ruining It For Everybody follows the same formula, which can grow tiresome: extremely quick, chaotic guitar riffs give way to moments of post-industrial melody that sound as if they were composed for an anime soundtrack. The same can be said of Krysta Cameron's vocal contributions: after a while, the formula of death growls juxtaposed with American Idol demonstrations of vocal range start to wear thin. With Ruining It For Everybody, Iwrestledabearonce can't quite decide if they want to be Evanescence or Napalm Death, and while this is an interesting album, there's just too much indecision and irreverence to take it seriously.
