"Where We're from the Birds Sing a Pretty Song" (video)

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Nov 4, 2014

Like many of us, Vancouver's Quinne Rodgers enjoys a few sips of something hot in the morning, as evidenced in the Ivory Towers musician's new video for "Where We're from the Birds Sing a Pretty Song." Unlike the rest of us, she seems to like capping that cup with an elegant, experimental dance routine in near-darkness.

The video first finds the artist sitting in front of the neon glow of her computer screen, with the soundscape of textured piano sounds and floating vocals easing her into consciousness. Less illuminated are shots of her performing an entrancing whirl of dance moves encased within veritable arboretum of fleshy stems.

Watch the video below.

The track appears on Ivory Towers new Endling EP, which officially arrives today (November 4). You can pick up the release for whatever price you choose at the boom of the page via Bandcamp.
