The lineup for this spring's Coachella festival in Indio, CA, was announced earlier this year, but there could be another iconic reunion set to add to the hefty artist list if Ice Cube gets his way. Already slotted for a solo performance, the West Coast rapper is hinting that he may be bringing the rest of N.W.A. onstage as well.
An appearance on TV talk show The Talk last Friday (January 15) had Ice Cube talking about his April 16 and 23 appearances at Coachella. Telling the hosts "I got some tricks up my sleeve," he suggested that he might have members of both N.W.A. and his Westside Connection joining him to play some hits.
"I'm gonna try to bring the members of N.W.A. together," Cube said, explaining that he wants to "give everybody a little history lesson on Ice Cube and N.W.A., Westside Connection, everything I've been doing over the years."
Last year, Ice Cube had brought N.W.A. members MC Ren and DJ Yella onstage during the BET Experience event at L.A.'s Staples Center. It's unclear who all may be a part of the upcoming performance, like Dr. Dre or Westside Connection rappers WC and Mack 10.
Considering Coachella unveiled the infamous 2Pac hologram in 2012, it may be worth contemplating whether or not a similar projection of the late Eazy-E could make an appearance as well.
