Though Ian Svenonius has spent time as a member of Nation of Ulysses, the Make-Up, Weird War, XYZ, Chain and the Gang and more, he has yet to release a solo effort. That changes this fall with the arrival of a full-length from the DC punk vet under the moniker Escape-ism.

Titled Introduction to Escape-ism, the record arrives November 10 through Merge. Featuring Svenonius playing "a drum box, a guitar, a cassette player," in addition to his "single slobbering, sinful voice," the album is said to be "profound, prophetic, perverse, and poetic."

Svenonius has shared a taste of what's to come with "Almost No One (Can Have My Love)." You can find the track in the player below, along with a commercial for Introduction to Escape-ism.
