While Hundred Waters had previously issued remixed versions of tracks from their The Moon Rang Like a Bell full-length on the Down from the Rafters EP, the indie pop outfit have now revealed a full-length reimagining of the platter is on the way. Featuring work from Plaid, Dirty Beaches, Shigeto and more, the suitably titled The Moon Rang Like a Bell (Remixed) arrives February 17 through OWSLA.
A press release for the set explains that Hundred Waters have tapped "a plethora of like-minded, forward-thinking musicians and producers" to help re-conceptualize the material first found on last year's The Moon Rang Like a Bell. Along with the aforementioned artists, this includes Illangelo, Huxley, Brandt Bauer, Kodak to Graph and more, while members of the band likewise took the opportunity to revamp the tracks. Drummer Zach Tetreault and guitarist Paul Giese, for instance, close out the collection with a "waltz" version of "No Sound."
You'll find all of the tracklisting details down below, as well as a stream of Shigeto's remix of "Cavity."
As previously reported, Hundred Waters are gearing up for a headlining tour of North America in February. The trek has them hitting Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal. You'll find more info down below.
