Though ethereal indie outfit Hundred Waters had to push the release of their remix EP supporting The Moon Rang Like a Bell's "Down From the Rafters", the four-song release officially hits retailers this Thursday (November 6). Better yet for fans, you can now stream the set online.
Up front is the original single, full of whispered vocals, chiming bells and minimal washes of synth. The Huxley remix juxtaposes the preciousness of the arrangement with a full-throb house beat and the occasional AutoTuned vocal effect. The Field brings the tempo back down, though a steady kick, extra synth melodies and a barrage of clicks cloud up the original's spacious soundscape. Tim Hecker then takes the track the furthest from its origins, delivering a digital eruption of white noise and psyche-penetrating tones.
You'll find the remix EP down below, where you can also check out Hundred Waters' upcoming tour schedule with Interpol.
