Hollerado Unveil New Single, Mix CD

The party-starting rockers in Hollerado have got up to to all sorts of crazy hijinks since self-releasing their Record in a Bag in early 2009. They've put out wacky videos, won a quarter-million dollars in a battle of the bands contest and booked a seemingly endless string of tours. But one thing they haven't done is released a new full-length. There's still no word as to when album No. 2 will be out, but for the time being, we have a new single to tide us over.

Entitled Good Day at the Races, this single contains the title track, plus the B-side "Walkin Out on Daytime." It's out via the band's own Mount Royal Records. Judging by a post on distributor Arts & Crafts' website, this will only be out digitally. It's available in either MP3 of FLAC formats, so go here to buy.

The title track comes from last year's odds'n'sods collection Margaritaville 2: The Reckoning. The B-side also comes from a mix CD that Hollerado have been selling on tour. In a Facebook note, the band wrote, "We just recorded 2 new songs," which suggests that this might be a new version of "Good Day at the Races."

The CD also features music from friends like Fang Island, Malajube, Free Energy, the Darcys, Parlovr and more. Read more about the mix here, and get a copy of the relase from the merch table during Hollerado's hilarious "Meet the Mayor" tour of Canada.
