Winter's coming, but that's no reason for Guelph residents to hole up and chill until the spring thaw. The organizers behind the Hillside Festival have let loose the details on the next instalment of their snowy season offshoot Hillside Inside, which will include performances from Basia Bulat and aptly named solo artist Cold Specks.
This year's Hillside Inside takes place across Guelph from January 29 to 31. So far, three concerts have been announced, with Bulat and Cold Specks due to kick off the festivities with a Friday night performance at Mitchell Hall of St. George's Church.
The same venue will host a performance from indie outfit the Strumbrellas and an as-yet-unannounced special guest the next night, while the church's Sanctuary will feature a set from Ukrainian outfit DakhaBrakha on the final night.
This won't be all that Hillside Inside has to offer, with the fest also reporting that it will host a number of storefront shows as part of its "Girls and Guitars" line of programming, while a Youth Showcase is scheduled to take place at the Planet Bean Café on January 30. The weekend is also due to run other assorted activities.
Additional artists performing at this year's Hillside Inside will be announced in the coming weeks.
A weekend pass will retail for $75.50 starting December 5, while tickets to individual shows will also be up for sale. You can find our more info over here.
