It's always a treat to snag a dub roots reggae seven-inch - the very format seems magical, kept in the most innocuous white tissue sleeves, but the savvy know this music can rock the foundations of any club. This 45 features a traditional biblically informed roots track by Andy Scholes, of More Rockers, with vocals by Jamaica's Steve Harper - a superb, heart-rending piece indeed. The dub edit is produced by Rob Smith, of UK's legendary Smith & Mighty; the reverb is awesome and bass-drive powerful, reminiscent of music played in sweaty, shabby night clubs thick with sensei and cologne while the floor tremors with the power of psychedelic musical revelation.
