A little over two years removed from releasing their first EP, Montreal-based post-punks Heat have revealed plans to deliver their debut full-length early next year. Titled Overnight, the new effort will arrive through the Hand/Topshelf/Rallye Records early next year.
Recorded at Montreal's Breakglass Studio, Overnight is described as a leap forward for the group sonically, the result of a reportedly rocky recording process. Running nine tracks in length, the record was produced by Alex Newport (Death Cab for Cutie, At the Drive In) and is described as "ragged, raging and unrestrained."
Along with the record announcement, the band have also mapped out a Canadian tour in support of the new disc. Heat will play a show at M for Montreal to round out this year, getting back on the road in February to take on Ontario and Quebec. March will see them perform at SXSW before making their way along Canada's East Coast in April.
Overnight will arrive on January 20. Read through the record's tracklisting and tour dates to hear "Lush" in the player below.
