Hear the Week's Best New Canadian Music: Kathleen Edwards, Faouzia, PUP, the Rural Alberta Advantage

BY Exclaim! StaffPublished Apr 1, 2022

Instead of placing Saran Wrap over the toilet bowl or sticking a fish on someone's back, for this day of fools, we have once again compiled a collection of the week's best new Canadian music. LOL, JK... unless...

A lot of brave people decided to release albums on and around April Fools' Day, including PUP (THE UNRAVELING OF PUPTHEBAND), Kathleen Edwards with her acoustic ode to our two great loves of Dogs and Alcohol, the Rural Alberta Advantage, Kellarissa (Voice Leading), P'tit Belliveau (Un homme et son piano), Jamboree (Life in the Dome), Veda Hille and Lights.

We also had debuts from the mononymous Marci of TOPS and ex-Weaves bandleader Jasmyn, plus new tracks from AOC's fave Kimmortal and Exclaim! New Faves alumni Bestfriend.

This is no joking matter (besides, we're famously very serious): let yourself de-stress from the terror of impending pranks with The Eh! List below, presented by Mary Brown's Chicken & Taters — all Canadian and proud of it!
