The guitar hero's version of "Reckoner" appears on his new instrumental cover album 'Frampton Forgets the Words'

Peter Frampton is returning with an new album, though it comes with a twist. The upcoming record is an entirely instrumental affair cheekily called Frampton Forgets the Words, and the first track to arrive is a cover of Radiohead's "Reckoner."

"This album is a collection of 10 of my favourite pieces of music. My guitar is also a voice and I have always enjoyed playing my favourite vocal lines that we all know and love," Frampton explained in a statement. "These tracks are my great band and me paying tribute to the original creators of this wonderful music. So much fun to do and I really hope you enjoy it too."

Besides Radiohead, the album by the Peter Frampton Band find them covering David Bowie, George Harrison, Stevie Wonder, Lenny Kravitz and more. The record follows Frampton's 2007 Grammy-winning record Fingerprints.
