Reassembled radical friends Head Wound City officially make their grand and furious return tomorrow (May 13) with the release of their A New Wave of Violence, but the faithful are being blessed with a freaky treat ahead of time. Following a video premiere and their Ministry cover, the post-hardcore supergroup are streaming the record in full right now.
Already, we'd heard the smashed-light-bulb gutter glam of "Scraper," a song that came affixed with a shotgun-firing music video. Other high artillery tracks include the manically whomped pseudo-anthem, "Head Wound City, USA," on which lead vocalist Jordan Blilie describes and decries the "city of the wretched and plain," or the speedy junk punk terror of "Closed Casket."
Produced by Ross Robinson (At the Drive-In, Slipknot, Blood Brothers), the record can be streamed in full below. A New Wave of Violence hits retailers tomorrow through Vice.
As previously reported, Head Wound City head out on the road with UK act Savages this month, and will hit up a handful of Canadian cities along the way. You'll find the tour details over here.
