Havoc has revealed a new Mobb Deep album is in the works, complete with posthumous vocals recorded by his late friend and groupmate Prodigy.

The surviving member of the influential New York City duo shared the news during a recent appearance on Talib Kweli's People's Party podcast.

Asked by the host what he had been up to musically, Havoc pointed to a follow-up to 2014's The Infamous Mobb Deep, in addition to work with Method Man.

"I'm actively working on a Mobb Deep album now, as we speak," Havoc shared. Asked by Kweli about the inclusion of Prodigy vocals, the artist added, "The family blessed me with a bunch of vocals [by Prodigy] and soon as I leave here, I'm goin' back to work."

Watch Havoc make the reveal in the player below, shortly after the 56-minute mark.

Prodigy passed away June 20, 2017, in Las Vegas. A posthumous album from the late artist, The Hegelian Dialectic 2: The Book of Heroine, arrived last year.

Featuring DJ Premier, Faith Evans, Remy Ma, Big Daddy Kane and more, The Book of Heroine is the second in a trilogy of albums conceptualized by the artist before his death, beginning with 2017's Hegelian Dialectic (The Book of Revelation).
