It’s difficult to believe that these Australian blokes have been hard for 20 years now, without the aid of Viagra. Then again, when they aren’t pounding themselves, they’re pounding their instruments and consistently releasing humorous high quality recordings, efforts that are unfortunately often overlooked. After all, the Hard-Ons were playing a punk, metal, and pop fusion when it wasn’t so lucrative to be doing so. And now that they’re older and fatter, it’s doubtful that they’ll be gracing any glossy magazine covers. That being said, Very Exciting will please those fans now over 30 years of age or any new fan lucky to stumble upon this little audio erection disc. And if that’s not the cat’s ass, then their homage to electronic music is: "Every time I hear techno I pray for death.”
