Hannah Georgas Readies 'For Evelyn' LP, Premieres New Single

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Apr 28, 2016

After offering up a snippet of new music in a cliffside-set teaser trailer, Canadian indie-pop performer Hannah Georgas has now formally announced her next full-length. Though a due date has yet to be cemented, her For Evelyn arrives this year through Dine Alone Records.

As previously reported, Georgas had started working on the album last year with Holy Fuck's Graham Walsh. A press release adds that the album was named after her 98-year-old grandmother and offers tunes that are "playful, suggestive, funky, and foreboding." The album also features guest spots from Andy Shauf, Mother Mother's Ryan Guldemond, and Howie Beck.

Below, you'll find a stream of For Evelyn's first single, "Don't Go," courtesy of Wonderland. Info on the rest of the record's tracklisting will be revealed in the coming months.

Georgas' tour schedule, which includes Toronto appearances for CMW and with City and Colour, can be found below as well.

For Evelyn is Georgas' third full-length release, following 2010's This is Good and a self-titled collection from 2012.
