While it may not be the sophomore LP pop trio HAIM promised is due "very soon," the sister ensemble have announced they'll be adding a picture disc release of their revamped Days Are Gone single "My Song 5" to their catalogue later this fall. Better yet, as you'll see up above, the vinyl release arrives in the shape of vocalist/guitarist Alana Haim.
News of the single came through the band yesterday (September 19) over Twitter, where they confirmed they're "super excited about this one." The limited edition vinyl release is manned with both the original album track on the A-side and their remix with A$AP Mob figure Ferg on the flip, and lands October 27 via Columbia. It can be pre-ordered here.
As previously reported, Alana Haim had revealed in an interview earlier this year that they'd be hitting a recording studio during the summer months to begin writing and recording the follow-up to Days Are Gone. While an ETA is still a ways off, she had said at the time of the wait for the sophomore platter, "I promise record two won't come in six years — it'll come very soon."
