Gucci Mane Prays His Haters Die from Coronavirus

While the majority of the world is working to slow the spread of COVID-19, Gucci Mane has apparently been wishing for a select group of people to contract the virus — and die — instead.

In a tweet posted earlier today, the rapper wrote that he prays his haters "die of coronavirus." The comment was understandably met with a wave of backlash, with some people are calling for the rapper to retract his statement, saying his choice of words was "harsh" and "ignorant" in the wake of the ongoing pandemic, which has, so far, claimed the lives of over 100,000 people worldwide.

"Man you need some online church services and a hug," one Twitter user advised. "This is the worst timed tweet ever. There are people actually mourning the loss of loved ones now, due to the virus. Bad move big homie…"

Another user added: "On Easter morning? this can't be what's on your mind. Our enemies are just reflections of the parts of us we hate the most."

While some warned the rapper that his behaviour was morally reprehensible, others suggested that Mane's words might bring him some sort of karmic retribution.

"You just might catch it yourself Wop. You never know," one user wrote.

Whether or not the tweet was meant in jest remains unclear, but one thing is obvious about the situation: the deadly virus definitely has the power to unite a lot of people against a common enemy.
