Green Day

"Stray Heart" (video)

Green Day are now in the thick of their album trilogy releases. ¡Uno! is out now, and their second instalment, ¡Dos!, is currently available to stream in advance of its November 13 release date. Today (November 7), the band do us another solid: they've just revealed the video for new ¡Dos! single, "Stray Heart."

The clip tells the story of a relationship on the rocks, in which a guy has trouble reining his heart in — literally. It rubs his girlfriend the wrong way, naturally, and not even a stack of Green Day wax will make the situation better. Watch below to see what we mean.

¡Dos! was recorded with Rob Cavallo, the very same producer who brought fans Green Day classics like Dookie (1994) and American Idiot (2004). The new trilogy represents a balance between those two Green Day iterations: while ¡Uno! retains all the chops and maturity of the band's 2004 effort, it also marks a return to the straight-up punk they became famous for.

Plus, you know, the band have described the latest albums as "the best music we've ever written," so there's that.

Third album ¡Tré! is due December 11 via Reprise, which of course brought you ¡Uno! and ¡Dos!, as well.
