After Silk Sonic "gracefully, humbly and most importantly, sexually" refused to submit their beloved debut for prize consideration, what appeal do the Grammy Awards even carry? Well, you can find out for yourself with news that nominees for the 65th annual awards show have been revealed.

Names to receive multiple Grammy noms include Adele, ABBA, Mary J. Blige, Brandi Carlile, Lizzo, Steve Lacy, Kendrick Lamar, Harry Styles, Coldplay and Beyoncé — whose many RENAISSANCE-related noms have now made her the most nominated artist in Grammy history.

When it comes to Canadians, nominees include Kaytranada for Best Dance/Electronic Record, Boi-1da for Producer of the Year (Non-Classical), Bryan Adams for Best Rock Performance, Michael Bublé for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album, Arcade Fire for Best Alternative Music Album, the late Glenn Gould for Best Historical Album, and Tobias Jesso Jr. for Songwriter of the Year (Non-Classical).
