In May, Vancouver-based electro-pop quartet Gold & Youth released their debut album, Beyond Wilderness. A tour in its support brought the band to Toronto for NXNE, and it was during this time that they came to the Exclaim! office to play some of their new songs live.
Instead of their keyboard-heavy concert and studio setup, the band tried something different, transposing the melodies of "Come To Admire" to guitar. The combination of guitars, electronic drums, and the chilling vocal duet between Matthew Lyall and Louise Burns created a haunting performance.
