Last month Canadian experimental Godspeed You! Black Emperor announced the follow-up to their Polaris Music Prize-winning 2012 album 'Allelulujah! Don't Bend! Ascend! And while the new LP Asunder, Sweet and Other Distress doesn't officially arrive until next week, you can stream it online right now.

As previously reported, the record is a four-track, 40-minute collection of entirely new material "where composition, emotion and 'note-choice' is inextricable from an exacting focus on tone, timbre, resonance and the sheer materiality of sound." It was recorded with sound engineer Greg Norman between North Carolina and Montreal.

In addition to supporting the new record, the band will be kept busy this summer as the guest curators at Calgary's Sled Island Festival. Asunder, Sweet and Other Distress is out on March 31 via Constellation Records, but you can give the new offering a listen in its entirety below [via the Guardian].
