Formerly American Nightmare, GUTG have established themselves as a band that can easily compete with some of hardcore's pioneering bands like Youth of Today and other youth crew-influenced bands. Combining energetic traditional hardcore with some well thought-out tempo changes and a great cover of the Cro-Mags classic "It's the Limit" and MC5's "Kick Out the Jams," you get the idea of where these guys draw their influences from. Unlike lots of bands trying to pull off this style of hardcore, GUTG have been working their style long enough to have added their own signature to their music so that it doesn't sound like too many other bands rehashing MC5 or Stooges riffs as their own.
