Girlpool

"Cake" / "I Don't Care About Summer" / "Jungle Gym"

Girlpool haven't even dropped their debut LP yet, but the band's Harmony Tividad and Cleo Tucker have already delivered a handful of new solo tracks to keep your ears busy until Before the World Was Big lands next week.

Cleo Tucker's contribution "Cake" is a dreamy, melancholy number featuring softly plucked guitar and soothing, snap-like percussion.

Harmony Tividad, meanwhile, has offered up two tracks, with "I Don't Care About Summer" and "Jungle Gym." The former starts off slow, lamenting the oncoming seasonal change but eventually builds into a wall of fuzzed-out guitar. The latter is a sweet, nostalgic tune that keeps in line with the group's recurring themes of growing up and looking back fondly on carefree kid stuff.

Before the World Was Big is out on June 2 through Wichita, but you can hear the new solo tracks in the players below.
