Geto Boys MC Bushwick Bill has revealed his diagnosis with stage four pancreatic cancer in a new interview.

Speaking with TMZ, the rapper explained that he received the diagnosis this past February after doctors thought a mass found on his pancreas was benign.

"We see a mass on your pancreas and we can't understand it. It's not alcohol, it's not sugar, it's not diabetes,'" Bill recalled the doctors saying. "They went through all kinds of stuff. And finally, by February 8, they said it was stage 4 [pancreatic] cancer."

Of his decision to go public with his diagnosis, Bill explained, "I figure keeping it myself is not really helping nobody. And it's not like I'm afraid of dying, because if anyone knows anything about me from 'Ever So Clear', you know, I died and came back again in June 1991."

The aforementioned single, which appeared on Bill's 1992 solo debut Little Big Man, references his 1991 suicide attempt in which he lost his right eye.

Bushwick Bill added that he is currently at work on three albums, a book and documentary. Last year, the group's DJ Ready Red died aged 53 of an apparent heart attack.
