George Michael Arrested After Driving Accident

George Michael is racking himself up quite a history of driving incidents. He had his licence suspended for two years in 2007 for driving while on drugs. He was then detained by police after he hit a tractor-trailer last year. Now, he's been arrested after driving into a building on Sunday (July 4).

Michael ran his Range Rover into Snappy Snaps (a one-hour photo shop close to where the singer lives in Hampstead, north London) on Sunday. Police say that they believe he was unfit to drive, but no comment has been made on if Michael was driving under the influence, reports TMZ.

The 47-year-old has some non-driving-related offences in his past as well, including his infamous, uh, run-in with an undercover cop in a Beverly Hills bathroom in 1998, a marijuana arrest in 2006 and another bathroom arrest in 2008, this one involving possession of a controlled substance,.

In possibly related news, Michael told the Guardian in December of last year that he had "cut back" his pot smoking to seven or eight joints a day; before that, he smoked 25, he claims.

Michael, who was returning from London's Gay Pride parade when the accident happened, has been released on bail until August, pending further enquiries, according to the Guardian.

George Michael's last album was 2004's Patience.
