Fueled By Fire

Spread the Fire

BY Greg PrattPublished Sep 18, 2007

Man, I dig the fun vibe, stupid, catchy tunes and homage to all things ’80s thrash on this re-release of California retro-lovers Fueled by Fire’s Spread the Fire. Way more thrash than other retro guys Municipal Waste or SSS, who specialise more in crossover, Fueled By Fire’s song titles say it all: "Thrash is Back,” "Metal Forever” and "Striking Death” are not song titles one can come up with unless one was raised on a steady diet of Araya, Ulrich and, uh, Sifringer? The photo collage in the booklet helps stave off the monotony that the disc eventually brings on but hey, Cranium’s songs were way too long and we didn’t complain about that, right?
