Corny name, no disputing that, but moving on, Mario Hernandez, from Alameda, California, is the man and spontaneous pop kitsch is his music. His previous band, Teeny Records, had March/Endearing co-release his album I, with some success in Japan and the U.S. Now solo and recording for Eenie Meenie records, Mario must be having some fun. Most of the time his light approach works in delivering the quick punch needed to carelessly diss trust fund kids and space invaders. However, he sacrifices completion and listenability because he wastes space on an eight-track. The talent and groove gives Me and Amy a sunny morning, day off, skip around the apartment and repeat feel.
