After issuing the self-released Carey's Cold Spring earlier this fall, Frog Eyes have now let loose a heady extra from the same recording sessions called "I Won't Dime."
The art-rock track hits hard Mercer's familiar six-string leadwork, a mixture of deep-diving whammy bar play and ornate, spindly licks. Atop the spacious guitars, cascading drum rolls and the occasional triumphant burst of piano, Mercer's tenor delivers a poetic smorgasbord of imagery revolving around the "makers of war,' kids going wild and other such characters "spinning on an alligator's spine" and standing "on the edge of something so fine."
You can stream "I Won't Dime" below or download it over on Soundcloud.
