Three years on from releasing her solo effort Indian Ocean, Frazey Ford has revealed her new label home ahead of recording a follow-up album.
Ford has signed to Arts & Crafts, through which she'll release her third studio LP. The songwriter is set to record the disc alongside co-producer John Raham (We Are the City, Destroyer) at Afterlife Studios, with the album set to feature "talent from Vancouver and international A-listers alike."
To mark the occasion, Ford has also shared a cover of D'Angelo's "When We Get By," from his 1995 debut Brown Sugar. Her smooth rendition features languid guitars and steady drums backing her vocal harmonies, with some subtle horns and organ for welcome colour.
While we await further details on Ford's forthcoming disc, you can hear her interpretation of "When We Get By" in the player below.
