Frank Turner to Release Photo Book

With four official LPs and numerous world tours under his belt, British folk punk songwriter Frank Turner is taking a moment to reflect on his successful career so far. Hot on the heels of his compilation The Second Three Years, Turner just announced plans to release a photo book.

The tome is called Photosynthesis: A Year in the Life of the Frank Turner Touring Family. The photos found inside were taken by keyboardist Matt Nasir, who plays in Turner's backing band the Sleeping Souls. Written accompaniment was provided by Turner himself.

In a post on his official blog, Turner explained, "Matt has been carrying a camera around backstage with us on tour around the world for the last few years and constantly snapping away. In the process he has captured not only some truly stunning individual shots, but also a pretty unique and intimate portrait of what it's like to be on tour with me and my band."

The book will first be available on April 13 when Turner plays London, UK's Wembley Arena. A wider release will follow, but the details are still forthcoming. Turner wrote, "I think it's really quite ace," so fans are going to want to keep their eyes peeled.
