Shilohs/Pinc Lincolns songwriter Dan Colussi is about to release his anticipated debut album under the new moniker Fortunato Durutti Marinetti, and he's now shared Memory's Fool's opening track, "All Roads."
Beginning with a reverberating boom akin to a thunderclap, this six-minute epic is a quiet ballad centred on Colussi's drawling singing and electric guitar strums, as he quotes Joan Didion with the opening lyric: "I lost track of the information." The arrangement swells into a soft, jazzy patchwork of purring synth and tip-tapping drums before ending with a long outro of ambient violin by Anju Singh (of AHNA).
Colussi said in a statement, "I started writing this song while living in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and when I think of this song, I think of looking out the apartment window and seeing the snow drifts that form over the lawns of the Legislative Building in the wintertime."

Memory's Fool is out on March 18 through Bobo Integral. It's one of Exclaim!'s 32 most anticipated albums of 2022.
