Mere days after we pointed out a Toronto restaurant with a Black Flag-esque logo, your girlfriend/wife/sister's favourite clothing retailer Forever 21 has started selling rip-off Flipper T-shirts.
As pointed out by many enraged Facebook posts, the clothing retailer has a Flipper T-shirt listed for a mere $16.90. The product description doesn't mention the seminal experimental hardcore band, though. It just says, "A crew neck tee with sketched 'Flipper' graphic at front."
Stereogum correctly observes that the shirt is almost exactly the same as the homemade Flipper shirt Kurt Cobain wore on Saturday Night Live in 1992. Check it out below, and make your own Flipper shirt if you really want one.
UPDATE: Forever 21 has since quit selling the T-shirt, yet offered no explanation as to why the company pulled the shirt or why it began selling it in the first place.
