For Science

Tomorrow's Just Another Day

For Science play fast, slightly snotty punk rock, a style that certainly has been done many times before. Where For Science step out from the crowd and demonstrate they’ve got a little something extra to offer is with their ability to write seemingly simple yet slightly off-beat pop melodies. Check out "Heavy Blues,” which sounds as at home on this record as it would have on any mid-’90s alternative album. For Science are equally adept creating raucous numbers like the blisteringly heavy "Wisdom Teeth,” quiet acoustic guitar/piano ballads like "East of E” or the sing-along, upbeat, straight-up fun of "Hearts Bound To Die.” For Science are a good pop punk band with enough original ideas to keep things fresh and interesting, and that’s more than you can say about a lot of other bands plying this sound.
