It's everyone's favourite font for middle-school book reports

Foo Fighters are purveyors of good taste and class, which explains why they apparently use Comic Sans font for all of their setlists.

On the Foo Fighters subreddit, u/nirvanafoo1991 posted a photo of the setlist from the Foos' Milwaukee show on July 30, 2021. As well as being packed with hits like "Learn to Fly," "Pretender," "My Hero" and "Everlong," what really stands out about the setlist is that it's written in everyone's favourite font for middle-school book reports: Comic Sans.

It turns out that the Foos have been doing this for years: as far back as 2015, fans have been posting setlists online marvelling at the hilarious font choice.

Comic Sans, despite its bad reputation, is a wonderful font that's perfect for certain situations. No, you shouldn't write your resume in Comic Sans — but for a major commercial band striving to appear as folk heroes, it's truly the perfect choice.

Earlier this year, Exclaim! interviewed Dave Grohl for a cover story about the band's latest album, Medicine at Midnight.
