Flying Lotus Scores Sundance Film

Busy production whiz Flying Lotus has all sorts of projects on the go, including a follow-up to his 2012 album Until the Quiet Comes. After sharing his Ideas+Drafts+Loops collection last month, the artist's output will increase with the release of a new film that he scored.

Along with Death Cab for Cutie's Ben Gibbard and Beastie Boys' Ad-Rock, a film featuring new music from Flying Lotus is set to open at this year's Sundance Film Festival.

As The Playlist points out, the film is called Imperial Dreams, and tells the story of a 28-year-old writer who is fresh out of jail and looking for his son.

A writeup for the film on the festival's site promises "an inspired rhythmic score by composer Flying Lotus."

Flying Lotus previously contributed music to the film An Oversimplification of Her Beauty, which debuted at Sundance in 2012.
