Being the super-fans that we are, we've been following Flying Lotus closely. We were ecstatic when he compiled ten years of rarities in a mixtape, announced his new album, Cosmogramma, and revealed a string of Canadian tour dates. Now, we're even more excited to report on the tracklisting for the new album.
Let's just get this out of the way: the new Flying Lotus features a guest vocal spot from Radiohead's Thom Yorke. The pairing of trippy hip-hop soundscapes with Yorke's inimitable vocals will happen once again on the album's seventh track,"Rabbit In Your Headlights" "...And the World Laughs With You." Hmmm... maybe Yorke hooked up with Lotus while Radiohead were recently in his hometown of L.A., supposedly wrapping up their new album.
Also on the new full-length, vocalists Thundercat and Laura Darlington will lend a hand, although we're pretty sure most people are more excited by the Yorke appearance.
On the down side of this whole thing, Cosmogramma is now due out on May 4 on Warp, not April 20 as original announced.
