With his anticipated new album Until the Quiet Comes set to drop on October 2 via Warp, Flying Lotus fans will be treated to collaborations with Erykah Badu and Thom Yorke (the former can be heard here). That's not the only thing we can look forward to, however, as the forward-thinking beatsmith has another high-profile team-up waiting to drop.
According to an excerpt from an upcoming interview with Drowned in Sound, the artist born Steve Ellison has recorded a song with outsider pop powerhouse Beck.
"He hit me up after the last record and wanted to do something," FlyLo said. "It sounds like Can but fucked up. It's really quite dark."
There's no release date for the track as of yet, but it could drop at any moment. After all, Ellison admits that it's "just fucking sitting there on my hard drive waiting for when the time is right."
