Flying Lotus Announces Canadian Tour Dates in Support of Cosmogramma

The last we heard from California-based beat-smith Flying Lotus, he had just compiled ten years of rarities into an excellent, surprisingly coherent mix. He also announced that his upcoming album, titled Cosmogramma, would be dropping this spring. Now, the DJ and producer born Steve Ellison has announced a string of tour dates, most of which take place in our fine nation north of the border.

The Canadian mini-tour kicks off in Victoria on February 15 with a show at Element. From there, Lotus will perform at Vancouver's Gossip and Calgary's Hi Fi Club before an eight-day break. Then he'll perform at Montreal's S.A.T. on March 25. With such a large gap between dates, it's very likely that some more shows will be announced in between.

Besides his Canadian trek, Flying Lotus's only other show currently scheduled is his appearance at the Coachella Festival on April 17. Three days later, on April 20, Cosmogramma will finally drop via Warp. Since it's coming out on 4/20, we're expecting the album to be quite a trip. A very brief sample, spun by the Gaslamp Killer, can be heard below.

Tour dates:

2/15 Victoria, BC -€“ Element
2/16 Vancouver, BC -€“ Gossip
2/17 Calgary, AB -€“ Hi Fi Club
3/25 Montreal, QC -€“ S.A.T.
4/17 Indio, CA -€“ Coachella
