Master beatsmith Flying Lotus is giving listeners another taste of his upcoming You're Dead! LP, serving up a deceptively delicate kill shot via the psychedelic soul of "Coronus, The Terminator."
Laced into the heady concoction are the beckon calls of a school of sirens, a mix of backwards-masked six-strings and '60s-issued scale runs, as well as a beat as crunchy and sweet as a mouthful of Apple Jacks. Also, if we're to believe Coronus, The Terminator is on the track as well, the killing machine seems to have got a hold of Megatron in gun form and started shooting wildly above the beat.
You're Dead! hits retailers October 7 through Warp and is being supported with a North American tour. Ahead of all that, you can read Exclaim!'s new interview with Flying Lotus, which has him explaining the Herbie Hancock's influence of the new LP.
