Sam Shepherd's Floating Points has released new single via Ninja Tune today. "Grammar" arrives alongside a visualizer by Hamill Industries.
Along with previous 2022 single "Vocoder," it is Shepherd's first new music since Promises, his critically acclaimed 2021 collaboration with the legendary Pharaoh Sanders and the London Symphony Orchestra. That record landed among Exclaim!'s 50 Best Albums of 2021. Last year also saw Shepherd contributing to Caribou's Suddenly Remixes.
Shepherd's last solo LP was 2019's Crush.
So far, there's no word on whether a new album is coming. In the meantime, watch the visualizer video for "Grammar" below, and revisit Exclaim!'s review of Promises here.
