Last month, the rapper won a watershed $82 million dollar lawsuit against energy drink company Celsius. TMZ caught up with him at the airport after Grammy weekend to congratulate him on his win in court and inquire about what he's gonna do with all that money in the bank.
Apparently, it's about to be going down for real in terms of the artist born Tramar Dillard's philanthropy: he told the paparazzo he couldn't even handle his excitement for getting to further his impact on the next generation.
"At this point, man, I'm more excited, so happy about the philanthropic things that I could do," Dillard said of his big settlement, citing his Big Dreams for Kids charity — which also powers his Florida Youth Football League. He added that the league currently has over 10,000 players, and the rapper recently flew some of them out to Los Angeles to train with Snoop Dogg, whose own youth football involvement was profiled in the 2018 Netflix docu-series Coach Snoop.
Dillard continued, "I'm just thinking about the generational wealth and how I can just continue to have — you know, open doors for other people as far as like, philanthropy goes," reflecting on having successful professionals visit the programming he was involved with as a kid and how their words gave him hope.
"When you invest in the future, you can't even imagine what the future would be like," he added. "Because some of these kids that we're working with, I'm pretty sure they'll be doctors, they'll be lawyers, football players, basketball players, et cetera."
The children are indeed our future, and Flo Rida has a good feeling about it.
