Public Enemy hype-man Flavor Flav is back in the news for something other than his music after having been arrested at his Las Vegas home early this morning (October 17) for allegedly assaulting someone with a deadly weapon.
TMZ reports that Flav (aka William Drayton Jr.) is said to have gotten into a heated argument with a teenager and his fiancée, who called 911 as the incident escalated. According to law enforcement sources, Flav threatened one of the other parties at knifepoint and beat the other.
It's unclear at this point who suffered which alleged fate. Flav was arrested sometime around 3 a.m. local time and was booked on charges of felony assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanour domestic violence (battery).
The rapper has yet to comment on the incident and is currently being held by authorities on $23,000 bail.
Last year, the hip-hop figure was pulled over by a Las Vegas cop for a routine traffic violation and was then brought into custody over a number of previous traffic violations before being released.
