In true Flavor Flav fashion, Flav shows us how to be charitable while still flexing on everyone.
At the Black Music Action Coalition Gala in Beverly Hills, CA, on October 3, the clock-wearing rapper spontaneously auctioned his signature jewelry off his neck. The bling in question — an iced-out clock custom-made by Rock N Stones by Kellz, per TMZ.
In a video captured at the event, Flav is heard saying, "I want to auction off my clock, man. We can go to $80,000 or $90,000 for this clock."
A bidding war ensued, naturally, and was eventually settled for the grand price of $15,000 for the timepiece. The donation will go toward initiatives led by BMAC to help address "systemic racism within the music industry while creating pipeline programs to prepare the next generation of industry leaders."
This year's BMAC Gala also honored other rap legends like Gunna, and LL Cool J and Usher.
Outside of this timely contribution, Flavor Flav has been known for his other engagements in philanthropy, including sponsoring struggling Olympic athletes. To Flavor Flav and his continuous good deeds, all we can say is "yeahhhhhh, boyeeeeeeee."
