Eternally quirky Oklahoma weird rockers the Flaming Lips have been ditching rock band conventions this year in a variety of ways, including the release of the Gummy Skull EP, a candy skull with a USB stick of new music jammed into it. But if you thought that was weird, wait until you hear about the skull's stoner makeover.
While they're definitely a few weeks late on the whole "4/20" thing, Flaming Lips have revealed plans to release a new version of their gummy skull that will include a marijuana-flavoured brain. The tasty drug candy will also come packaged with a live version of the Lips performing their classic Soft Bulletin album.
Consequence of Sound points to a video of Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne discussing the weed flavouring of the skull with his pot-loving buddy Jake. The clip is available below.
The weed skull has not been offered up for sale just yet, but fans can order the original gummy skull from the Flaming Lips website right here for a whopping $150.
