In what's one of the most bonkers late night performances we've ever seen, the Flaming Lips appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman last night (April 3) to perform "Look…The Sun Is Rising."
For this performance, singer Wayne Coyne cradled a baby doll at the front of a stage decorated with what we can only describe as an avant-garde high school art project. The song itself was hypnotic, noisy and a little frightening, and doubtless sent late night viewers off to bed with some nightmares.
This track comes from The Terror, due out April 16 through Warner Bros./Bella Union.
