The Flaming Lips and Tame Impala covered one another's songs on a new EP, and now the Flaming Lips have shared a performance video for Tame Impala's signature tune, "Elephant."
The clip, which was filmed in what looks like a pastel-coloured rehearsal space, begins with Coyne helpfully promising, "This is the one that goes 'ba-boom-ba-chh-ba-boom-ba-chh-ba-boom-ba-chh.'" He then spends the rest of the tune singing while flapping a silver reflective disc around his head, and his bandmates give the song a run-through that's a little messier and more chaotic than Tame Impala's version while not deviating too much from the original.
