Warren Fischer and Casey Spooner are aging to perfection, not unlike a fine red wine. By combining Fischer's training in classical music with Spooner's lyrical flair, the NYC duo have evolved into a complex, intriguing act that synchronize and embrace the electronic realities of the digital age with old-time notions of entertainment. This feeling is most abundant during "In a Modern World," which slows down the momentum of the album and is nice considering the busy, almost theatrical sound of their trademark electro-thrash style. "Infidels of the World Unite" is amusingly retro, combining electric sound effects reminiscent of a Thomas Dolby record with a social consciousness more aligned with our times. The album is light, digestible and very entertaining.
