FIDLAR are gearing up to release a new EP, That's Life, on March 17.
The six-track project is the band's first in four years following their 2019 full-length Almost Free. Needless to say, That's Life has been a long time in the making. Frontman Zac Carper wrote the EP during a DMT ceremony as part of a caravanning trip in 2020, giving way to an undeniably psychedelic collection of songs.
FIDLAR have likewise been taking their time rolling out this EP, with lead single "FSU" having arrived last August. Since then, two more of the project's songs have been released as singles with another — "Centipede," and its accompanying music video by Ryan and Alice Baxley — out today. Carper starts out mellow on the track and builds to the punk genre's signature screech over fried guitar strums and percussive crashes on the chorus.
To celebrate their new EP, FIDLAR are taking That's Life on the road. The 18-stop tour's lone Canadian show comes at Vancouver's Rickshaw Theatre (March 3).
