Eight years since their second album, the experimental trio of Christian Fennesz, Jim O'Rourke and Peter Rehberg reunited their Fenn O'Berg project for their In Stereo album earlier this year. The record was released by Editions Mego in March, but that apparently wasn't enough, as the label has announced plans for not one but two live albums.
According to Pitchfork, Fenn O'Berg Live in Japan Part One and Fenn O'Berg Live in Japan Part Two will each be released by Editions Mego on November 9. Both records are taken from the trio's Japanese tour in 2009 and, if the tracklists are any indication, include performances from Kyoto, Tokyo and Nagoya.
Fans looking for a further taste of the live Fennesz experience can catch the accomplished guitarist on his upcoming solo tour, which will bring him to Vancouver's Western Front on September 26.
Part One:
1. "Kyoto 1"
2. "Tokyo 1"
Part Two:
1. "Kyoto 2"
2. "Nagoya 2"
